When we got back from dinner I found a mouse in our apartment. I am terrified of mice. So began the 4-day process of trying to kill it/catch it/make it go away.
We bought a membership to the Children's Museum at Navy Pier. It was awesome and the girls had so much fun. We spent a couple of hours there and we still didn't try everything. We are excited to go back!
Charlotte's smiles in pictures are truly painful sometimes...
The snow was coming down strong the night of our anniversary so we settled on just going to Potbelly's since it's only a couple of blocks away. We will go to the Cheesecake Factory another night when we have good weather and a babysitter.
If I look tired, it's because we spent all day of our anniversary sanitizing/cleaning like crazy, caulking every gap we could find in our apartment and setting like 8 traps to catch the stupid mouse. Update: we haven't caught it in a trap but we haven't seen it since we caulked, so here's to hoping it's gone?
Charlotte had a horrible cold/cough that she gave to Millie and now to me. Yesterday, even though the weather felt like -40, Craig walked to the store to get Millie some more Tylenol. He went out again later when we realized we needed more flour to make cookies. What a man.
Before Christmas I bought Groupons to go to the Winter Wonderfest at Navy Pier. I am so glad we went! I only bought wristbands for Craig and Charlotte since Millie wouldn't be able to really go on anything. Charlotte had such a good time.
It was really decked out and not crowded at all since Christmas break is over for school kids. Millie didn't have much fun...
Charlotte rode the carousel 4 times:
Giant snowman bounce house:
Going ice skating for the first time (they only survived 1 lap):
Riding her first ferris wheel. She loved it:
Besides doing the above rides multiple times, she also did a train ride and a ball pit. We will definitely go again next year! I am excited for the weather to warm up to the 30's hopefully later this week so we can get out a little more!

Winter Wonderfest looks awesome! It will be fun next year when little Millie can participate, too. You'll always look back with fondness to your epoch Chicago winter of 2013/14--not! Glad the mouse is gone, fingers crossed.
Chicago looks so inviting in the winter. Not. It still looks like your managing to eek out a little fun here and there.
Charlotte and Millie do have some very intense camera smiles. They will have to work on that before you enter them into any "Little Miss" contests.
Despite the cold, it looks like you've been doing some fun stuff. Caulking to keep out mice is especially fun, right?
Your skin in the pic at five guys looks flawless. Love you!
